Friends Young at Heart

This is a door to door service for people unable to access public transport. Individual transport is available to appointments (e.g. to doctors and dentists), with a minimum of three days notice preferred. This service is mainly reliant on volunteers using their own vehicles. Shopping trips include Gladesville, West Ryde & Macquarie Shopping Centres and local libraries. There is also a bi-monthly program of social outings in the Sydney Metro area. Best Buddies is a non-profit organisation dedicated to improving the lives of people with intellectual disability by providing opportunities for one on one friendship.
