The Home Library Service is for people who are housebound and so cannot come into the Libraries. The Service can also be provided on a short term basis under special circumstances, such as illness or the absence of the person who would normally bring you to the library, or during post-operative recuperation where there is no regular support. The Home Library Service will deliver library items to you if you reside in the City of Swan and are physically unable to access your local library. Eligibility for this service may also depend on other criteria. The service provides books, cassettes, videos and other materials on a wide range of topics, which are matched to your specific requirements. Mercy Friends are a group of volunteers specifically trained to support socially isolated aged people living in their own homes. By matching a client with an appropriate Mercy Friend the programme aims to offer regular company, a listening ear and friendship. The person must be already receiving Mercy Aged Care services.

The Vietnamese Seniors Association of WA meet twice a week, Tuesday and Thursday (10am - 3pm), at the Koondoola Hall (Burbridge Ave, Koondoola) to share social, cultural, emotional and physical activities to alleviate feelings of loneliness, isolation and maintain culture and customs. Actvities include badminton, table tennis, dancing, chess and sharing a meal supplied by members. The centre is open to people from all nationalities.

The Perth Home Care Services Monitoring program aimed at people who have confusion, short term memory loss or dementia and are living alone or with a care partner who isn't competent to assist. Drop in visits will monitor diet, nutrition, medication and hygiene. Access to social activities and assistance with shopping and household tasks can also be provided.
