Children and teenagers with a moderate to severe disability who are attending school are the target group of this service. With all programs, support workers attend to supervise and lead activities. Kidzlink has three programs: TEEN SCENE - for children attending high school is a social activities programme which operates monthly activities during school term. The Rehabilitation Team works with consumers to improve or develop their living skills (such as how to use public transport, how to manage money and how to prepare and cook food) and their work skills. The team often links consumers with community resources to assist with specific problems. Although the rehabilitation team often works one-to-one with consumers, they also run a wide range of activities for groups of consumers. Rehabilitation can begin when someone is in hospital and may continue throughout the recovery period. Intake number given is at Prince of Wales Hospital. Aims to provide individualised care to people with disabilities leaving school that encourages them to increase their skills and independence and supports them to transition to paid employment or further training. Emphasis will be placed on work experience, with individual needs being addressed with prevovational programs including activities such as work ethics, traffic access and safety, budgeting, social/recreational activities and exercises etc. Where possible TTW will use activities and services offered within the wider community and are generally able to provide support and assistance on an average of 10-20 hours per week. Eligibility: people must reside in Bogan, Bourke, Brewarrina, Cobar, Warren, Unincorporated or Walgett LGAs, have a moderate to high disability, and be deemed to have a `capacity to work- as determined by DADHC-s assessment process. Application for DADHC TTW funding needs to be facilitated by the applicant-s school in their final year of high school.

Achieve Lifeskills Program Service (ALPS) is a service that assists adults who have a disability to help gain the skills they need to live independently, with community based support. Skills that could be learned include: healthy eating, cooking, the ability to attend appointments, shopping, money skills and budgeting.

A NSW Government program for people with disabilities. The role of PADP is to assist eligible residents of NSW who have a permanent or long term disability to live and paticipate in their community by providing appropriate equipment, aids and appliances. A respite care service for people with moderate to severe intellectual disabilities. Respite is provided to the carer and the person with the disability and consists of social activities, including recreational outings eg. movies, bowling, craft & day outings. Operates eight different groups: Monday - day program, Wednesday - day programs and Friday - Day Weekly. Friday - night program, Saturday - day, Saturday night and Sunday (fortnightly). Included in the program are living skills & travel skills.

The RIDBC Thomas Pattison School provides a program for students who use Auslan (Australian Sign Language) as their first or preferred language. While all classess are taught in Auslan, students also learn English in its written form. The school offers classess from Kindergarten - Year 10 and follows the NSW Board of Studies syllabus.
