Phase 1 - Inpatient education Phase 2 - Exercise and education Phase 3 - Maintenance with weekly phone call, exercise classes and education sessions. Weekly pre-procedure class to provide outpatients with information about procedures taking place interstate. Diabetes education and information available Aboriginal Health Workers on staff for Darwin area. Indigenous Project Officer on staff and visits outlying communities. Dietitian on staff for both programs, but predominantly diabetes clients.

Public Hospital, Organ donation Co-ordinator available 24hrs/7 days per week. Organ donations including heart, lung, liver, pancreas and kidneys can be donated up to age 75. Tissue donations including corneas, heart valves, bones, skin, cartilage and tendons. Corneas only up to 90 years of age. Special conditions apply - telephone co-ordinator for further information. Once donation has been made, the body is surgically repaired and returned to family, etc. for normal burial, without major delay.
