This program is aimed at Aboriginal Families . The Government's response to the recommendations from the Gordon Inquiry resulted in the state-wide expansion of the Strong Families Program. The program is based on the Strengthening Families strategy developed and implemented nationally in New Zealand Strong Families is an interagency case management approach to working with families with complex needs. While the Department for Community Development is the agency responsible for overall implementation, the program is conducted as an interagency initiative in which all of the key stakeholders have a strong sense of ownership Interagency consultation with client's consent- coordinating services for supporting a family. The role of the coordinator is to promote coordination and collaboration between agencies in their work with families who have complex needs. Referral by local agencies.

This aims to promote normal development and assist with family relationships. Warwick Clinic deals with children and teenagers up to 18 years in the northern suburbs. The Clinic is staffed by child psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, social workers, and mental health nurses. The clinic does not offer a crisis service, but can offer advice on who to contact.

Set on the Albany Hospital site, the Hospice is available to all Palliative patients for symptom control, respite care and terminal care. Patients Family/carer support and understanding is provided in a home-like environment. Bereavement Support Service available. Palliative Care Service are for patients with a 'life threatening illness', allows them full palliative care support and admission to the Hospice. Silver chain provides community support under the guidance of the PCS. Albany Community Hospice is located within the hospital grounds and is both a private and public service. It has 4 beds and can access all allied health and medical professionals from the hospital . Provides some mobility and personal care equipment and meals to immediate family when needed. New Horizons Complementary Therapy Unit have a room at the hospice and aims to implement complementary therapies in conjunction with traditional medical treatment to produce positive results for patients.
