SCI operates a number of accommodation facilities, some of which are supported, in and around Sydney and Coffs Harbour. Where no staff are on-site, the individual residents are responsible for arranging their own personal care through the Home Care Service or, if eligible, the Attendant Care Program. A new facility in Collaroy is currently being planned by SCI. It will consist of eight separate self-contained units, each with its own private entrance but with access to common areas for all residents. In order to meet this aim, NEI operates a number of individual services to cater to the needs of people with a disability and their families. These services include: Supported Employment, Supported Accommodation and Community Living Services, Day Programs incorporating Community Participation and Transition to Work.
