A social group that was established in 1999. Most members have retired from the workforce and want to keep physically, mentally and socially active. The emphasis is on learning for pleasure. U3A offer a wide range of subjects - from science to tap dancing. New timetable produced each term, fee for some courses. Subjects are chosen through suggestions from members. Talk (guest speakers) at North Kiama Community Centre each Monday afternoon for a gold coin donation. Computer Pals for Seniors offers practical opportunities for retired people to develop and share their expertise in new technologies. Computer Pals is a voluntary association where members give their time to teach seniors to operate computers. There are courses on basic word processing and using the internet, however students must own their own computer (PC, not Apple/Mac). The club holds monthly meetings with guest speakers, Q&A sessions, tea and coffee. All tuition is on a one tutor to one student basis.

A community association for the sharing of literacy, language and numeracy skills. Trained volunteer tutors help adults who have problems with reading & writing on a 1-to-1 basis. Regular meetings of all members for both educational and social purposes. Professional, Adult Education Programs provided for organisations by arrangement. Flexibility of lesson times is a great advantage for students & they can meet with their tutor in their own home, the tutor's home or the Literacy Network office, whichever situation is most convenient.
