RUCSN (Resource Unit for Children With Special Needs Inc) Country Inclusion Support Agency is called Great Southern Inclusion Support Agency (GSISA) and its aim is to help Commonwealth-funded children's services include children with additional needs. 'Additional needs' refers to children from a Culturally and Linguistically Diverse background (CALD), Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, South Sea Islander children and children with disabilities and special needs. Commonwealth Funded Children's Services in Western Australia includes Private and Community-based Long Day Care, Family Day Care, Outside School Hours Care, some Vacation Care, some Occasional Care and Year Round Care. The Lower Great Southern Family Support Association Inc. is a non profit organisation established for the purpose of supporting people with disabilities and their families living in the Lower Great Southern region of Western Australia. People with disabilities and their families are supported by the Association through the provision of funding with which to purchase respite support. Local Area Coordinbators are based in local communities and provide support to between 50 and 65 people with disabilities and their families enabling the support to be personalised, flexible and responsive.

RHCS (Perth Home Care Services Inc) services are mostly govt funded and are directed to specific target groups - those who are disabled and those with mental illness . Private services may also be provided. The two models of support provided by RHCS are:- Inhome support/respite and foster care support/respite. There are also ATE programs. PHCS has been providing support to people with severe and persistent mental health issues since 1996, including continuing care, community support and psychosocial support. Specific services include daily living skills, personal and social interaction and support for carers. PHCS's service delivery model is consumer driven and recovery focussed. GIFSAs Respite House in Varden Street Kalgoorlie is a 4x2 house with X1 Q/S bed , 3XS/S beds and a sofa bed - able to sleep seven people. The staff quarters sleeps 2 people. There is wheelchair access to bathrooms and toilets. Equipment available at this house is - a hospital bed with pressure care mattress ; adult change table ; hoist ; shower chair and wheelchair. All bookings and payments to be made through the Kalgoorlie office of GIFSA at Lotteries House , 42 Wilson Street during office hours. Application/Reservation form must be returned to GIFSA before staying at the Respite House. Charges are $40/person/day or an hourly fee of $5p/h/person with aminimum of 2 hours and capped at $40. $150 pw/person for a maximum of 7 days. Keys to the house can be obtained from the GIFSA office. All food , linen and other services are the responsibility of the occupant.

This is a private homecare service that provides personal care, social support and respite services. Office hours in Joondalup are 8am- 8pm. Services provided are :- intensive case management in the Mirabooka Clinic and Inner City Community Mental Health catchment areas.
