This is a SAP - Commonwealth funded and DCP administered , organisation that delivers crisis accommodation and SAPS-supported accommodation program for families affected by domestic violence.There is an 18 bed secure womens's refuge and a 32 bed hostel for the homeless, be they individuals or families, i.e., anyone in crisis. Communicare's Breathing Space is a residential and therapeutic program for men who have been violent and /or abusive within their family relationships. The program has 12 places within it, with the program of a 3 month duration. While the program is based in Calista, it can take referrals from the entire metro area of Perth.Organisations,services and individuals can all refer to the program. The key objectives of Breathing Space are: to assist in the provision of safety to women and children undergoing the abuse; to provide a safe environment to men;to encourage men to desist in their use of violence; to provide a timely, appropriate and responsive intervention into the domestic violence situation; and that these interventions are congruent and respectful; to provide ongoing support to those clients exiting but still requiring on-going care.

The Hills Community Support Group Inc provides services in the Swan, Mundaring, Kalamunda and Eastern Region areas for frail older people, people with disabilities, Carers and Youth at risk.
