After dialling the aforementioned phone number and then completing an application, the applicant is assigned a case manager who (provided eligibility criteria is met) will work to meet the needs of the applicant. Assistance may be provided in the form of a long term plan or a one off offer of support with the goal of assisting the person out of a crisis. Examples include the provision of a predetermined amount of in-home domestic support. Note that family members, other service providers, case managers etc. may assist with the completion of the application.
