In short, this service provides community based support for up to 4 weeks for adults who are experiencing significant deterioration in their optimum level of functioning as a result of their psychiatric disability. It offers support where the preferred choice is the least restrictive, appropriate alternative to acute psychiatric inpatient treatment.
